the game engine is broken
-
@Suleman____f I was talking about my example of my 4-0 loss against Zenit St Petersburg when managing Dynamo Moscow and I listed why it was unrealistic.
-
@uchenna-a - Tbh just cuz you beat someone in a league once, doesn't mean you'd beat em again. I beat my mate 5-0 in a league match and when we met again, i lost 4-1 but had 2 players sent off. BUT i get your point.
-
@Suleman____f It just really pissed me off because the other team hadn't gotten better or used new tactics from the game I beat them at their home. They didn't have a training camp or any new players, and I didn't get any bookings and I lost 4-0

this is my major issue with the game. the managers don't have, in theory, anything that can boost them up and still they end up beating bigger teams with ridiculous scorelines, in real life that just does not happen as often as it does in this game. the engine has this rock-paper-scissors thing where some tactics are just useless against others, regardless of the team's value. it's a joke
-
@peenagees Yeah I agree. Sometimes small teams beat big teams, but it just happens so much in OSM that it is ridiculous. The game engine is so random, and I know this may be hard to improve, but I think something needs to be changed with this absolute trash, terrible, and broken game engine.
-
@peenagees Also I think tactics impact on whether you win or get trashed is just too big and ridiculous in OSM. Even though tactics have a large impact in real life when two teams of similar quality play, I don't think tactics have as much as an impact in real life as they do in OSM when a big team plays a small team. It still remains that even when a small team has better tactics than a big team, the scorelines that a small team wins by in OSM is just stupid. The impact of tactics is just ridiculous and unrealistic in OSM, and I think the objective for OSM should be realism, and I don't think they are reaching that objective with their absolute trash, terrible, and broken game engine.

You keep repeating the same words over and over again ( and not just you mate ) , so let me ask you a couple things.
If the game engine is a complete failure then how come you got this kind of winning ratio?
How did you get 20 championships and 19 Cups? Why do we get to see 1256 winning matches on your game profile instead of lost ones?
And what are you trying to achieve by blaming the OSM engine for every loss that you get? After all it is the same engine that every manager on OSM is using therefore we all get the same chances for wins or losses. Am I right?
Why do you guys keep using this forum in such a negative way, throwing meaningless accusations on this topic about the game engine instead of trying to benefit and interact with each other by for instance presenting actual examples of lost matches with screen shots of those matches's results.
You could have a real discussion here, a creative conversation about your match results, your tactics and maybe just maybe this way you could exchange your ideas and thoughts about them, learn new things, get inspired by fellow managers , get improved and eventually try a different approach for goodness sake on your future settings and tactics. -
@Acantha If my tactics bad, i have worse istatistic than other team. Tactics are good but luck isnt good. I dont agree with you. I said this game has %40 tactic and %60 luck. But nowadays; %20 tactic and %80 luck. Really broken game engine, please nobody defend this system.
-
@Bahadır-K Remember that even that if you'll think that your team has a better tactic, doesn't mean other teams can't counter your tactic.
The percentages that you've provided here aren't based on facts, so you should be carefull with assuming things and blaming GB for everything. -

Why is it ridiculous when small teams beat a big team. This is a game and not a real game. Don't compare it to the real game because there is nothing in common. If you have a good tactic does not mean you will win. When you put the tactic, you should be careful what tactic will use the opponent and to find this ( of course not the tactic) you have to spy the opponent, to see his lineup and how he has put the players in the lineup. So in this way, you can counter him and maybe you win the match.
@Bahadır-K said in the game engine is broken:

The statistics don't tell you that your tactic was better than the opponent tactic. If you had a better statistics that the opponent and you lost, that means that the opponent countered your tactic and to do that it's easy, because the opponent may be used the spy and he saw your lineup and see how you set the players up, made him counter your tactic.
No one is defending the system but is not god when you lose to create such a topic and blaming the engine. (Why someone doesn't create such topic when he wins the matches, I guess that then the engine is not broken, because you win the matches)
I play OSM for more than 7 years and I had these problems, for example, couple weeks ago I had this problem and got 6 draws of them I got 3 draws with CPU and I lost the league. So what should I do, blaming the engine? The engine is random and so everything can happen. It just a game and doesn't compare it to the real game because there is nothing in common.
Kind Regards

I have been reading all your posts and advices on the Tactics Requests topic and I was really very glad about it and thank you for your support. But now I'm confused... If you actually believe that 80% of the game engine's results are based on pure luck then how come you spend time on explaining and giving tactical advices to other managers about their matches? You could just tell them : Best of luck mate, that's all you need!

@SUPERNOVA-8 i Said nowadays. Starting this luck thing at Egypt leauge in crew battle. We play 10 match and i play good in 9 match. But result? 2 win, 3 draw, 5 lose. I didnt that bad results continiusly any leauge or any tournement
Espicially i have 93 quality gk, but 70-80 fw's always succesful shot? I am experienced manager of course and win ratio 75-76 but this Egypt league has %80 luck i think. I think same now too. Because i came this topic and we are not alone dude -
@Bahadır-K You wrote : " I played good " . So what am I supposed to do now? Just take your word for it?
I'm not alone either mate when I say that this is just a game that I very much enjoy playing and that I have learnt to be pleased and happy with every win I get but also to take on the chin any of my losses. Furthermore every manager has a personal game strategy or way of thinking on OSM, which of course makes sense.
So if you want , next time you'll get a "weird" result on your match you can bring the data and screens of your own tactics and opponent's ( Spy screenshot ) , the result/statistics of the match and we can have a nice friendly discussion. Just think about it ..
And by the way... I'm a female manager so you can't call me a dude ! LL Some of you are really trying to change my gender ... -
@Bahadır-K Hi mate
I played on the crew battle at the Egyptian league. The league finished two days ago and the results were 9 wins and 1 lose for me. The teams were not all equal but some were and has nothing to do, that in the Egyptian league has 80% luck. Sometimes my team was very good from the opponent but to win the league I used not an attacking/aggressive tactic but a normal tactic because when I saw his lineup, he has set his lineup as deff., but sometimes my team was better than the opponent but again I put a normal tactic, because of the opponent lineup and not an attacking/aggressive tactic.
On the crew, battle depends on with which crew are you playing and how the managers are. The statistic doesn't tell you, that you had a good match. The loses that you had in the Egyptian league mean that the opponent countered your tactic and he did very well.

You guys. Don't compare osm with reality. It's nowhere close to reality, so don't apply real-life logic into explaining the game results. Osm has just a basic (unrealistic) simulation engine which may have its own flaws. If you guys aren't happy with how your results turn out, just move on to other games like Fifa or something, which has a more realistic approach to simulating the games.
-
@SUPERNOVA-8 yes sometimes my grammer confused too, sorry. And i didnt know you are female
Anyway, Egypt leauge has ended. I am observing another matches. I hope i am wrong this luck thing.
-
@Bahadır-K No worries , it's just funny to see several managers calling me this way.
As for the luck, I believe it has been mentioned before on the forums that it does play a part sometimes but certainly not the biggest one my friend. Otherwise nobody would insist on playing OSM. -

Now now Dhrubo , you are no noob. I thought you knew better ; that it's against the forum rules to promote other football game sites in here. But if you are sure about your statement then by all means feel free to jump on that game site. Personally I do not have that intention.
-
@SUPERNOVA-8 Now now Sophie. You're better than this. The rule quotes 'Please do not promote competitors' websites'. Do you see any link to any website that I plugged in my post?
FYI (1), my post was meant as a suggestion for those who are seeking a more realistic approach to a football match simulation. FYI (2), Fifa is not a 'game site'. It's an actual game that you download and install to play. Just in case you didn't know that.
-
@Dhrubo-II In that case , thank you for your post Dhrubo. And for the information. If I was mistaken I apologize for that matter.
