Improvement of fair play
-
Hi
I am an old player and I find that a lot is different (quite a positive). However I see the same problem - cheating.
In my league I was aware that a player created (at least) 3 accounts to overcome direct opponents and from what I know did training camps in all.
The accounts have been banned (congratulations to the support team) however the main account is still active (I think the ban happened via IP and it plays on smartphone). There was an obvious transfer in benefit of this player.
So here I leave some suggestions / questions:
-
When a new player shows up, shouldn't the same locking system that exists on transfers (SMS verification) apply to all extra actions that include benefits (training camps, scouts, screet training, ...)?
-
Do transfers between league players not create triggers when they are extremely suspicious? (a 4M player being sold for 10M)
-
Shouldn't there be a minimum time to use abilities after the account registration? Anything like 3 days after registration unlocks all game options.
I leave here my questions / questions. I know that certainly someone has mentioned this in the past but I found nothing in concrete.
Thank you.

@bolanatrave_2 Why should a new player be punished for somethig that someone else did? In an open league or leagues that have been created by osm new users can join such teams in locked leagues that's not possible.
When all camps, secret trainings are all used up then a new user won't be able to use them anymore.
Triggers will never ever be discussed on forums same thing goes for a real discussion about cheating
-
I realize what you say, but converting to real life every day is somehow penalized for something wrong that we never did. (rates, alarms, cost of living).
My point of view is to try to make the game fair somehow. there will always be someone penalized in any system created. (eg SMS verification of a user, I understand the need but what if I don't want to provide my number, why am I being penalized for this?)
As for camps and secret trainings the problem here is when you want to hit a particular player with this. For example, you need player x and y to lose games for you to reach the goal on the next journey. so you create multi accounts and use these camps and secret trainings for direct benefit. The idea of waiting 3 days is precisely to avoid this.
It is not about quantity. it's about its use and availability. -
@bolanatrave_2 This is an easy and fun game for everyone to play, so it's the wrong approach to try to penalize new users for that, everyone should have a fair chance that includes the new users.
Honest users such as yourself should always do the right thing and report things when seeing weird things
Personally if a game asked a sms verification number which I don't want to give I would stay far away from it.

Strange you are here, since the game has a sms verification system.
But anyway, I am giving everyone a fair chance. I am not preventing anyone from playing or using the game functions. I am just inserting criteria to make the game more honest.
How am I penalizing a new user just because I enter a criterion of having your account created more than 3 days ago? Have you ever entered and used a camp in this round? It could be 24 hours if 3 days was too much. Anyway the league gives 3 or 4 days of preparation so it would not affect the days.
-
@bolanatrave_2 Not that strange that I'm here, there are more platforms that you can use to sign up
Because there's not really a need to put a limitation on that one, every user should be able to use all functions.
It's only possible to use 6tc/st max, regardless how many accounts take over that team.Every user could have their own reason why to join a certain team later in the league, then you can't say sorry you can't use a TC/ST for some time.
It's part of your manager task do decide when or/if you'll set a ST/TC
The CR system isn't there just for show and in rare cases that it really happens the way you describe it, then you can report it providing all evidences of it

I would suggest adding the option of being able to report cheaters even in other championships, because we see managers who in less than 2 years are already in the top 100 in the world rankings, it seems very strange. I propose this because an admin responded to my report by email as follows: '' we cannot block cheaters if you do not make a report from the game even if the manager has multiaccounts ''
I think this suggest must be primary in the things to be added in the future -
@roni-meda
Agree with you. Now at the moment there are at least 10-15 cheaters in top100.
Same pattern: all multi-accounts loged from PC (accounts with no history, mostly more loses than wins), strange goal difference for all clubs (cheater already scored 50+ goals in 6-7 matches), no transfers in league (all clubs with players 60-70) all wins for cheater even if his squad is worth 60-70M etc. Very easy to discover.
Top100 should be something special and under control 24/7 but admins are doing nothing about this for years already. This is something unacceptable for a serious game. -
@MenagerBL it’s not hard to spot them is it Nenadsince when does a league have 10 people in a 10 team league that all play on the PC and not on mobiles these days? Sure they would have the same IP Address so wouldn’t be hard to catch them and ban them if GB wanted too

You right mate... Agree with u 100% on this part. It's almost 2020. People use app's 99% of the time...Hard to believe that 9 guys can play just on PC for months...
-
@MenagerBL I struggle to keep 9 managers active in my leagues. Full 10 in prep days, by match day 5 only around 7 in the league and people quit consistently and they’re on mobiles. But 10 people on PCs/desktop version all in the same leagues never quit
-
@jeffro-davies Yeah I agree with you lad, my league of 20 teams has 20 active managers in the preseason and by matchday 8 there are only 8 active managers and over 10 CPU controlled teams or inactive managers. You also have teams that their manager resigns and a new manager comes in and then resigns in a few days and that cycle goes on for over a week, just a bunch of quitters in my opinion.

This happens all the time. The point being how can people in the top 100 ranking keep getting 7-8k plus in a 10 team league every single season. Yes it’s possible but not for months and in some cases years at a time in every single league without getting people quittingone of reasons why I never try to get 10k manager points in one season, people just quit and you end up with an empty league. Some in the top 100 don’t have this problem and I bet if there leagues was looked at they would be a few with the same IP address in the same league (multiple accounts)

@roni-meda @MenagerBL @jeffro-davies @uchenna-a
Hello guys !
As you can see I have brought your posts in here in hope that we are going to have a constructive discussion and some good arguments on how to deal with cheaters on OSM. But at the same time I hope not to read again posts with nothing more to offer than accusations against Gamebasics or Admins because it is not helping at all and most important it does not make any sense. Everybody agrees that users who can only play against the OSM Terms is a pain for the rest of us decent managers and they give bad reputation to this game that we enjoy playing. -

Here you go again Goofy. Talking about such a serious matter without thinking first of your thoughts and words... Ehhhh...
Do you honestly believe that if ( any of those Top 100 managers were cheating and got to be reported by other managers of the same leagues ) they had same IP then the OSM staff wouldn't have locked them ages ago?!
If any of them are indeed cheating then they are obviously smarter than that mate. -
When I had more time on my hands and when I played OSM more seriously I used to find those who use suspicious methods even being in top 10 of the world. Best case scenario I got after I reportd them was getting them suspended for like 3 or 6 months. After that period they could've used their brilliant methods back again.
Its sad but this current OSM ranking is favourable for those type of players as with all kinds of weird stuff they can easilly get into top 100 when back in the days you had to work your butt off to even get close to such an achievement.
-
@Majstor-Matt Ok Matty, I get your point. Although I know for a fact that loads of accounts have been locked permanently due to cheating. I must admit I have no idea how any of these illegal accounts/users can return back to action after few months. Would honestly like to hear/learn more about that ...
But once again you only made a statement here Matty and you are not suggesting any solution to this problem mate.
And it takes mostly old OSM fans and experienced managers to come up with some really good ideas on how to prevent cheating and improve the quality and fair play of this game. -
@SUPERNOVA-8 If It was up to me, anyone who would be caught with more than 2 suspicious accounts in league would be locked permanently and those IP adresses should be blocked forever for reaching site. (I'd tolerate if someone has more than 1 suspicious account becuase you can always have brother or someone like that in league, but if there would be too much other suspicious activity other than same IP adress then I'd ban those too)
But I know that that is not suitable and affordable for the game, because those cheats use massive amounts of boss coins most of the time.
How did they got back you ask Sof? Well they were not banned, they just got their accounts locked for 3 or 6 months. After that, they were free to play their style again. Thats the fact and I still have some of them added to my friends list as I like to see how they climb back up same style towards top 10.. Its funny seeing them struggling to get their precious points back after I got them locked.. or should I say, was funny, because most of them are back in top 100. ( I have 4 of them on my friends list, 2 are back in top 100)
But long gone are the days that I stopped tracking maangers like that.. I remember times when I used to enjoy their leagues and collect evidence... but long gone are the days when I had enough free time to do that And nowadays most of them have locked leagues as well and Its funny how they manage to easilly always have full leagues completely when all mine that are open and free to join always have around 70% of managers in them...
Here is rare pic of one example of manager who got locked and then is slowly gathering points in"fair" way to get back onto his "deserved" top 100 spot.

@Majstor-Matt Ahahaha! Oh mate ... that picture ...
