Just won Winners' cup with this powerful squad
-
how did you get havertz?
-
@vandijk_44 Well, I started playing with Newcastle some two months ago, since I had to complete Premier league before entering Winners cup. Havertz was available back then, I bought him off the transfer list
-
How do people manage to play with so few players? Maybe that's where I've been going wrong.
-
@Suvven I can manage even with 15 players, but I dont recommend it, I always try to have 18, for me its The perfect number. 2 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 6 midfielders, 4 attackers.
-
@Suvven When I'm playing in a 20-team league I usually have 22 players for most of the season. However, when I'm playing in a tournament I have 18 players during the group stage, and two of the first knock-out stages. After that, I reduce number to 15 because I won't be using all of them and I direct funds to strengthening my squad and buying some fresh (and fit) players.
-
Just keep your squad on turnover: buying and selling all the time, making sure there are always four players listed for sale and that you line-up eleven starter players with a bench full of substitutes (seven); other than that, it's just waste.
Sitting the less fittest [max(MOR-FIT)] players on the bench and lining up the ones with less morale [max(FIT-MOR)] on the starting XI is the key to keep an healthy squad. -
I always have things like this based on my tactics;
- 5 attackers
- 5 midfielders
- 6 defenders
- 2 goalkeepers
Always sell less talented players for newer more talented ones on the transfer list. Try and maximise on younger players (aged 27 and under) to provide them with the best opportunity for training. There are always small tips and tricks you can work on to give your team the best chance at winning matches.
-
This is indeed the ideal squad size for a team playing in 4-3-3 formations. Although, as it's recommendable to keep selling until the match time, it's reasonable for its size to drop below these eighteen players; just make sure there are eighteen players by the time the match is simulated, so you can line-up eleven starter players with a bench full of options to come on as substitutes during the match.
Regarding the recommended player age: older players are also relevant. Despite their more accessible prices for the same quality (comparing to younger players'), they also bring more experience - making them more suitable for captains and improving their performance consistency (since they tend to commit less mistakes).
-
@DMFArranhado98 Oh you aren't wrong there. I try and secure one or two older players which much higher stats than that of the rest of my team to avoid having to train them with their slow progress. Thankfully the bonus training for mature players does help from time to time.
-
Today, I reached the semi final stage first time with Barcelona. This is historic moments for me.
-
I got introduced to tournaments pretty good, but I've been failing ever since the first three ones.
-
Which one of you has better statistics?
Well played shah mobin
(Japan league is 39days and 11895 manager points)
-
@amir-h-b-80 Lol how is this possible
Edit: same manager from @amir-h-b-80 's post
-
Hurrah! I takes the Champions Cup Trophy 1st time. That is the great season with historic and great club Barcelona.
-
Thanks suvven

l always have 4 players on the transferlist. I buy players from the list and put them for max selling price on the list. It's funny how i sometimes buy players for like 5 mil, and sell them a few hours later for 10 mil. The lower their value, the sooner you'll sell them. I recommend only buying players with a lower value than 11mil. When you have 4 players on the list with 11m or lower, you'll sell about 2-4 players a day.

Today, I beat Red Bull Salzburg with 5-0. It is interesting that all the goals scored by Mane.

If you had had Håland, you would have won 10-0.
