We have 3 battles playing and all against “the Alliance” that are in 1st, my crew are 2nd. I’m wondering how the search works? We’re searching for a 4th and I’m sure that other crews below us will be searching for a crew. Think Alliance only want to play 3 at a time, we would like 4. All the crews are in the same division in the top 100 at the minute so just wondering how this search works and why we’re not getting a battle against another crew in our division?
Hello Jeffy !
I was expecting this question coming from you mate.
So here is the explanation to your question ...
Crew Battle match-making, as everything else on OSM, is designed to fit all managers and not just a specific group of managers.
This been said, match-making has few criteria that have to be fulfilled in order for crews to be matched but at the same time keep battles as fair as possible , whether it comes to Battle Points ( BPs ) earned or to competitiveness.
Those criteria are based on crew level , divisions and difference of total crew battle points. Something that also is taken into account is if you're "searching for an opponent" or if you're "waiting for an opponent".
Just to clarify the difference :
Search for an opponent - Your crew completes line up and it's matched with a crew that's waiting for an opponent.
Wait for an opponent - Your crew completes line up and there's no crew that matches the criteria so you're not matched. Then your crew stays in the list waiting for an opponent to appear.
If your crew is on a higher level way too far from other crews, well in that case...
Congratulations for the achievement!
But at the same time sorry, because it will be harder for you to find an opponent that matches the requested criteria.
