Around 7 years ago, @Gary-Gomes started this topic where all the nostalgic guys were talking about the good old times. Little did they know that fast forward to 2025, and it would be much worse. The topic would not be as active, pretty much all legends left the game or accounts deleted, apart from @Majstor-Matt and @SpecialOne. At least it was still a bit active back then, with people posting every day. Now even that is not left. The glamour of the forums has vanished.

The only reason I logged in today was to protect my account from being deleted; I have no idea what the statute of limitations is, but if it is three years, then that is me home and dry until the EURO 2028 final or thereabouts.

I am, however, starting to get a 503 Excessive Load Warning when I load the forums sometimes. Surely OSM isn't that busy nowadays; it certainly wasn't in my 2013-15 heyday.

I have been playing for quite a few years (have had my crew still going since 2006) and was wondering whether there were any managers still playing the game from the good old days of OFM? Any older staff members that know me still a part of Gamebasics?

It would be awesome to get back in touch with you guys!

            How are you all?

My oh my how things have changed around here.

Old accounts are deleted after three years. You will receive an email asking you to prevent this.

This part about deleting accounts is really really sad. So many legends getting deleted... and then even if they come back they cannot continue their legacy.. I really dont uderstand why cannot there be some checkmark on your account where you give consent to keep your account open in case of longer inactivity, it really isnt that hard to ask for consent if it is due to GDPR...

Yeah, I kind of agree with you, but GDPR laws are strict (and some of them really 'weird'...
Fines for breaking them are quite big also

                      but,

How hard is to log in once every 3 years? You don't need to play, logging in is enough and you get an e-mail to remind you...
