Cheaters: Illegal Transfers/Multiple Accounts

  • Greetings,

As per the tittle, i realize that this is no place to report such issue. Fret not, i didn't expose any players name aside from mine in any of my materials listed below.

I believe that i'm not the only frustrated honest player whom experiencing such issue. I even realize that i'm not the first person who mention about it here either. Nevertheless i need a good explanation and perhaps anyone could enlighten me on how to deal with these cheaters in the right way.

My understanding on Cheater's Modus Operandi:

    1. Profiteer manager creates Feeder account(s) and listed as friends.
    2. Profiteer manager enter a league.
    3. One or a few Feeder managers listed as friends joining along.
    4. Cycle of player transactions between these Profiteer and Feeders to Profiteer benefits.
    5. Profiteer gets superior squads plus larger funds in hands.

Example of player transactions between Profiteer manager and his Feeder managers:

    Profiteer Manager's club transaction:

    Example of Feeder manager's account:

As in this case, one honest manager quits his **** club (*not even the club with the stature of **** could stand with the superiority of any Profiteer Club, let alone smaller goal clubs). Few hours later, here comes a newly created account taking over this vacant club and feed his/her Profiteer club.

Of course i reported this player earlier in the season but somehow it ended up as:

    http://prntscr.com/is9w6c

    Not enough evidence. -_-

    So, here are my questions:

1.What exactly can be considered as "Multiple Accounts and Illegal Transfers"?

    1. How to make a proper reports about these cheaters? How and what things should i include in order to build a strong case in my reports?

    2. Is it possible for me to know how these cheaters are being investigate? Do you have any game log for each leagues in plays?

I really hope any of the staff could answer me as i believe we all love to play OSM. I personally enjoy playing it and i never blame the game engine even when i lose where i believe i deserve to get a win but hey that's football, you've to include the luck part. However, these cheaters seriously kill the joy.

If Game Basics don't take a serious measure on developing ways to prevent this issue, this game will be flooded with these frauds and cheaters. As a matter of fact, OSM will lose many more good and honest players, i believe it already happens and still counting.

Example of good and honest player planning to leave the game:

Pardon me for the wall of text. Just a simple soul expressing his frustration.

    Regards.
    Love and Honour.

    @arsay-whinger Hi, welcome.
Sometimes a little patience is in order, if you got that verdict the first time then wait a bit and after that report again.

    1. That awnser is already in our osm terms of use.
    2. Adding evidences could never hurt to back things up.
    3. No I'm sorry but how we investigate is only for the staffs to know.

  • Hi,

3 days had past since the day i posted the stuff above but still no response from either staffs or players side. The thread isn't deleted yet meaning that i posted legit contents. I'll be patient and nobody can beat an Arsenal fan when it comes to being patient and frustrated at the same time.

I might as well want to add another point to the Cheater's Modus Operandi which i posted above. The Feeder account's pattern. I notice that these Feeder accounts belong to the Profiteer manager doesn't stay long. It usually pop up when the Profiteer wishes to have player transfers. They left when the deal is done and then they pop up again when there is a need to strengthen Profiteer squad. Is this how they escape from being found guilty? If yes, then perhaps there's holes in the game reporting system.

I would love to see any successful report saying that the person you reported is guilty. If any of you have one, may you share it with us and show us how you do your report?

Still, i need clarifications for the questions i posted above.

    Thank you for your time.

    Regards.

  • @hespera

    Thank you again.

@arsay-whinger We don't act based only on an 'illegal' transfer » this can be just a good deal and if player was on TL was there to all managers, so everybody could buy him. If you suspect really several accounts are involved, a screenshot with all the suspect transfers will help.

Keep in mind that if you suspect users are playing with multis (even if you know for sure that they are same guy), users can hide it in a way we don't have enough evidences to act, so we need to 'punish' them for something else, this being the clear benefit of one of the accounts... and like in real life, we may be sure that they are cheating, but without strong evidences of terms violation, we won't be punishing them.

  • There are some, no...very few which can be call as good deal on TL. The chances of this kind of good deal to happen is like once in a blue moon. I got one before so i won't deny your statement. This good deal also can be from new players whom got no idea about how much price to put on transfer market. But, we can't say the same about negotiation among clubs. I can say nobody will sell you their player at player's value or below or not even at +5M to +10M from the player's value. Unless you are friends.

In my first post, I'm accusing a player(s) as cheater(s). Those materials i posted above are directly pointed to him/her/them. Based on the evidences i provided before, what is your thoughts on this player(s)?

    1. Is/Are he/she/they abusing any rules? Yes/No
    2. If your answer is Yes, which rules did he/she/they breach?
    3. Are those evidences which i provided as above enough to get the person i accuse guilty?
    4. If it's not sufficient, what else should i add in order to strengthen my claim?

Sorry for troubling you but i need this and i know there are players out there who do not really understand about the rules, not reporting about wrongdoings, do not know how to make proper report, and etc. Hope, my case can be example for everyone.

  • no suspicion. just todays transfers

  • @armen-o Hi mate. It seems like we're facing similar issue. Have you report this yet? I attached documents as evidences like yours but mine were deleted.

My guess is right then. The Feeder account can come and go "untraceable". Please be reminded that every single newly created account with verified email possess 50 Boss Coins. Enough to help the Profiteer manager. Enough to ruin the transfer market.

We, the honest users make reports and OSM staffs will decide, either the accused person is guilty or not. It's not like we don't put any evidence, it's more like your investigation isn't thorough enough. If you run through your game log, i believe these perpetrators can be easily track.

"we need to 'punish' them for something else", do you mind elaborate more on this? As far as i can see, the reporting system only allow us to choose between Illegal Transfers or Multiple Accounts.

If it's not too much, do you mind answering my previous post? I know, you deleted those documents i posted in my 1st post but you know what it's all about. Just treat it as a case study. This way, we, players can strengthen our understanding on this matter.

    Thank you for your time.

@arsay-whinger Every single cheater, has as main goal benefit one of the accounts. If users suspect that someone is creating new accounts and feed a single one with all the others, you just need to report the account benefited... Even if the y delete new accounts or resign after feeding the 'main' account, you can always find evidences to report them. We'll later check if those evidences are reason enough to lock the benefited account or not.

Again, evidences have to be clear and not just a good deal from the 'alleged' manager benefited. Also keep in mind that some users just join leagues to create those suspicious situations to get their rivals locked!

Hope this clarifies all your doubts, because we're going into too much details about this and that's not the way we want to go!

  • @hespera In a simple cheating method, it involves direct player transaction between one or two benefited account(s). Whereas, in much more advance cheating method, he/she/they make it like a chain/cycle of transactions which eventually come to the benefited account's benefits. The latter is where my concern lies on.

Good deal can't be called as good deal any longer when there's only 1 club get the benefits out of everything. A bird brain person can tell which one is good deal and which one is a fraud deal since not everyone can get their hands equally on these so called good deals.

I was intrigued with your statement "keep in mind that some users just join leagues to create those suspicious situations to get their rivals locked!" Showing that how far people can go in order to sabotage one another which i never think of, in a simple online game for God sake. You know better.

You know, you should do this more often. Tell us more about these fraudulent acts in this game. Not everyone here are fully aware about it. By doing so, you're helping us. Help us to help you. The fact that cheating will not be discussed in public is already providing these cheaters some kind of protective layer.

I'm going to send another report. A better one. I'll come back and bark again if i ever feel mistreated. =D

I'm thankful to you for being such a cooperative person despite having to wait for at least 48H for a respond but i understand. Pardon me for all the troubles. Just do what needs to be done.

    Regards.
