Came back to the game after a while away and was wondering if you can still buy players from teams controlled by computers, I've put offers in but 2 days have passed with no reply. Do the teams need managers to make the transfers or will it happen in time?

You can buy a player from a team (without manager) by making an offer for a player and wait for the team to respond...
You can also accept an offer from a team (without manager) that from time to time make to players of your team....
