Forum Theme Updated

@SUPERNOVA-8 Am I the only one who prefers the older blue theme. It was more fitting theme with game and forum. This looks half done and not fully finished. Maybe its just me, but that is what I think.
However, I like the adding of OSM profile link to forum profile. :thumbsup_tone4:

No, I'm sure you're not the only one that prefered the old blue background and I bet others will share your opinion about this update.
But I gotta say it , Albino was so right mate: It's obvious that the game devvers can never please 100% of the managers with any change or update that is happening on the game site and he also admited that he liked the blue one too, as you surely have read , or even that he'd love a black background. I for once could never choose such a dark enviroment.
We've got loads of users and tonnes of different opinions and that's well understood and respected.

@King-Noel We all have our preferences, but the goal here is to please the majority, since we can't please all. I also liked the blue one more than this one (maybe because we're used to OSM background)... but the one I would love to have is a dark one... full black background.... Oh well, we just need to adapt to the limitations we've!

And for me the old theme was better.
If ask me I don't see a gray colour here, everything is white, ''too white'' or too bright.

Sam is right about the too bright or too white , but I just use my laptops keyboard to lower my screen's light.
I'm more than happy with these changes! :thumbsup_tone2:I use forums while watching some videos in my other half of screen, so lowering brightness would not help. But I guess everyone has their own opinion.

I believe this is not new for you guys (if it is, then you need to clear your cache to have it updated), but our forum Theme was updated from the blue colour to a gray one!
We had several complaints that it was really hard to read posts with previous theme, so we changed it to this new one. We believe it would make majority of our forumers happier.
That's not the idea we wanted to implement, but due to limitations it's the only way possible now. We wanted to keep our original theme and add a couple skins, so users can select the one they like the most. Unfortunately the skins provided by the company that owns the forum software only work with their own original theme. It doesn't work with customized themes :(. This is why we had to chose for a different theme!
We implemented two other changes with this update:
- Removal of Change picture button - This button didn't had any utility on forums and was misguiding users. Avatars on forums will always be the OSM ones, so if you want to change your avatar, you need to do it on OSM, not in forums, this is why we removed the button!
- Link to OSM profile is also added to every user profile. This link is placed on the Website field. Users can edit/change this value, but it will be reverted on next login! Like this it will be way easier for everyone to check every users profile on OSM!
We hope that these changes please all OSM managers!

@SpecialOne Why did you choose these forum providers in the knowledge that they would only allow you to select skins if you used THEIR theme? If you didn't know, couldn't you have just wired them an email asking about it before these forums were set up?

In my opinion, grey background is "better" for majority of users than blue background. Actual background color is #eee and yes, maybe if background colour was #ddd or #ccc we can see the white area better yes but... Never 100% of OSM users will be agree in something, think about it and be more optimistic about changes!

But this white theme is tooooo bright. My eyes are bleeding after few minutes of watching at screen.
Previous theme was much better then this. It's too bad that there is no possibilty to add a couple skins -

I like it much better than the previous one. If you complain about too much white, adjust your monitor's brightness a bit...
@Octi Bro, I don't think lowering brightness just for forums will be good. I use my PC for other works, so I put my screen on exact brightness and it's harder to keep changing it. Also like I said before, I use forums while watching videos on other half of the screen, so changing brightness wont work.

It's not grey at all.. It's too bright. If this can adjusted it's a great update
And no, I don't adjust my monitor brightness for the visit of one site.

@Simenon The forum colour was only changed because it has been on of the biggest complaints about the new forums. Some users struggled to read the forums when they were the theme was blue, now everyone can read the forums and surely that is better?
I do not think the colour of the forum makes much difference, I personally preferred the blue colour too, but if I had a choice of a blue forum that some users couldn't read or a grey forum that everyone could read I would pick the latter.

@DutchCaptain That's would have been a great idea and it was what was wanted by the developers, but it wasn't possible to do implement, unfortunately.
