OSM WC 2020 Edition

I don't understand much about your communication. Why did we have to post our results here? I thought you would select the best managers who posted here, but apparently you receive a list from OSM and approach the best 156 managers in the game and ask them if they want to play the World Cup?
@KoningCo OSM always had lists infront in order to see who were the managers who collected the most points in certain period. Why would only people who post be able to play? Not everyone uses the forum so It would not be fair that only those ones who post can play.

Just some points to clarify more the situation:
- 1st list seems to get points recollected from 1/12/2019 to 31/05/2020, something wrong. At first point, I think about keep wroking with the list and make minor changes.
- I can't get the WC manager list without help, Gamebasics must provide me always.
- Looking that some managers weren't agree (I understand it) and after receive the correct list, with points from 14/12/2019 to 31/05/2020, I spend all my time to compare both list, fix it and have the list 100% checked and send messages to all managers affected and new entries. (208 private messages if you want to know the number)
At this moment, everything is fine but some people keep pushing me and criticizing because they (Or a friend) don't have a place. We have the correct list, we have the same WC period and everyone wants to play but we have limited places.
Please, think twice before spamming or insulting me because I organize events for all of you, I don't win nothing with it and each time I feel I'm wasting my time because nobody recognize the effort and they think can do it better but I don't see no one prove it.PS: Yes, I read WC local topics in different communities too

@Markez17 hello manuel, every year you do a great job .. and i know the effort it takes behind a tournament! it is exhausting. a "little mistake / inattention" (which is human!) cannot judge your punctuality and professionalism.

First of all, I got a message from Markez17 that I got a place to play World Cup 2020. One day later I got message from him that "I got a place in WC with a wrong list provided.
After get the correct one and check differences... I lose my place and I am a sub now."So when I calculate again my manager points on my first slot :
Between 1th December and 31st May
I have 44.365 points
Between 14th December and 31st May
I have 37.350 points.
As I know, minimum requirements to qualify was 35.000 manager points. How come did I lost my place and I am in sub position now ? Can you please explain me ? @Markez17

You are not into the 156 first managers with those points between 14/12/2019 and 31/05/2020.
Minimum manager points to qualify in a WC edition depends of others managers and points they got in the same period. -
Alright, did not know the minimum manager points to qualify depends on others managers's points. As you mentioned earlier, I thought minimum was the 35.000 points.

@wrathfulone Each year this minimum has increased because more managers got aware of this competition and the qualifying period so people are calculating better their finishing dates of the leagues. A few years ago I qualified to the WC with only 25-28k points, now with 37k we both are substitutions. Hopefully we will get there!
@Markez17 - please ignore the mean or the not very well educated people who don't understand your voluntary effort and the fact that you received a wrong list from the beginning. I think that people who don't understand that and continue to be mean should be excluded from the list because they are not fair-play and so they don't deserve to be in the competition.

@SpecialOne I would love to play especially because I missed the last two years I believe, but no...that's not why I said that.
In the last 6 years I've been organizing or at least helped organize all Romanian competitions so I know how it feels like to be criticized without a real reason.
Manuel is doing a fantastic job and those who don't see it or understand that, don't really deserve to be among the worlds best players. True characters are shown in difficult moments like these!
It's like VAR support in football. You may have scored, but if the camera shows it wasn't correct (like the first list Manuel received), you have to accept the cancellation with dignity. Yes, we feel sorry for you, but we can't go on with a mistake.

I've picked 4/5 random users from the list and manually checked the totals, they matched. all fine. I didn't selected anyone with leagues that ended before 14th.

Only the ones that do something can make mistakes
It's not an excuse, but to collect the info for this event, I have to get info from several tables and two of them are just the biggest ones on the whole OSM.

WC list update
At this exactly moment, we have:
- 129 managers confirmed .
- 0 managers refused the WC invitation.
- We have 33 reserves.
- 16 managers have no problem about being league moderator and send invitations if it's needed.
Deadline is 18/06 around 18:00 UTC Time. Then, all free places are automatically assigned to reserves who confirmed his/her place, by manager points recollected order. I will send a message to those managers who get a place due to this reason.

Accept/Decline: Until 18/6/2020
Make groups: Between 22/6/2020 and 23/6/20201st round: 25/6/2020 - End 1st round: 21/7/2020
Semifinal: 24/7/2020 (Provisional) - End Semifinal: 19/8/2020
Final 21/8/2020 (Provisional) - End Final 16/9/2020WC leagues - Main rules
- All OSM Rules must be followed.
- Break rules can be punished with lost of league points, be disqualified from competition or be suspended/locked, depends on the seriousness of the matter.
- You can set a player in different position (Except GKs and GK position) but never do it in order to benefit other manager.
- Features like friendlies are up to each manager to decide how many they do per round.
- If you find another manager breaking any rule, just let me know (Markez17) by private message.
