Transfer list

So today, I sold a player to West Ham and I am managing FC Masr in Egypt. I then bought him again off west ham and cannot readd him to the transfer list. It is probable that this is how the game works but I am just checking with others to see if that is how it works. You cannot sell the same player twice in a matchday? Thanks
