Strange/inexplicable match result
-
Dear member of the support team,
Today (16-01-2024) a had a very strange and inexplicable match result in the semi final of a Boss tournament.
Out of the blue I lost the match with 4-0 without having any serious opportunity's while playing with a training camp.
Of course this some very rarely cases can happen.
But in this case I can not explain what happened.
I know I have a very good working tactic unless the opponent isn't ultra defensive. Some facts from around the simulated match:
- We both played 4-3-3, which isnt't ultra defensive.
- The value of my selection is slightly higher.
- My opponent had a small selection of 15 of which multiple players were not of 100% fittness (dark green) and he probably had to play with one of 2 of them (maybe more).
- We both played with a training camp.
- During the match it was one direction soccer.
- Having set a training camp wasn't visible at all.
- After the match the 'analist' tells that it is hard to win if you don't select 11 players.
That last point really surprised me.
I assume that the this message is personally and if so, I did select 11 player about 10 minutes before the simulation started.
The training camp I set in the last seconds, but so did my opponent. This got me thinking.
Was the match somehow simulated with me not having 11 players?
And if so, was the training camp also not in the simulation?
Note that I did see the training camp symbol at the result afterwards.
Only in this way I can explain the hopeless result againt an opponent of which I should at least be equal (like it was in the group phase).Like I said in the beginning, it's ok to lose.
But this loss got me thinking and it feels like something went wrong.
And if that is the case (like the situation I suppose above) then I think it is worth reporting and beside of that I then lost boss coins for nothing. So is there a way to get this checked?
Did I really not play the match with 11 players like the 'analist' told afterwards and was the training camp active during the simulation?
If the simulation really was with less then 11 player then this is a clear error as I did select 11 players about 10 minutes before the simulation.
And if all looks good, then I still don't get it but then I know that in some way this can happen sometimes.Kind regards,

Hi there,
If you received the feedback that you should put 11 players on your staring line-up then it indeed means that you didn't put 11 players on your starting line-up. There are two things that could have happened:
- It can sometimes happen that the changes you make to your team aren't properly synchronised with the server. Most often this will happen if you use the OSM app, but can also happen when setting your starting line-up on the webversion of OSM. Always double check if changes to your team are really in effect.
- A player you had on your starting line-up got sold before match was simulated.
As for training camp: if you see the blue tent on the results page or on the match calendar, then the training camp was in effect for your match.

Hi,
Well then the first thing must have happend because I had no player on the transfer list.
I made my line-up from the app like I always do.
It's the first time that this happend to me and I'm playing for a very long time already.
I always check my line-up, when I set the tactics and specialists I switch back en forth between the line-up.
I'm quite sure it was completed but suppose that I had forgotten one position then the result still wouldn't be 4-0, not in this match with this opponent.
I know that out of the experience that I have of all those years playing.
I hardly never close and restart the app if you mean that with double checking.
I did check my line-up after the match because of the feedback and at that point my line-up had 11 players just like the training camp tent that was shown.
So to me it still remains a big riddle what happend it feels weird.Kind regards,
Coen Nibbeling
