How is the training progress bonus calculated by upgrading the training ground?
-
I don't quite understand the actual impact of upgrading the training ground. Supposedly, you get 50% more progress per training session for a training ground at level 3, or 25% more progress compared to level 2. Is that correct?
Last night, I upgraded the training ground to level 3. However, the progress has only changed marginally. I noticed this because a specific player almost filled the progress bar with one training session on level 2 (22%); I needed 26% to improve the player. So, I decided to wait with the training until I reached level 3.
Now at level 3, I would get 25% progress for the same player.
This doesn't seem like a 25% increase compared to level 2 to me...
From what baseline are the 50% progress calculated? Is it even worth upgrading the training ground to level 3 under these circumstances? It takes quite a long time and costs a lot of money.

Hi there,
That 50% for level 3 is a 50% increases compared to a training ground that hasn't been upgraded at all. So a 25% increase compared to level 2. However, that doesn't have to mean that you will actually see a 25% increase in progression, because there are other things that factor in how much progression a player will get.
- The age of the player: younger players will see a higer progession than a 35 year old player.
- How many times you trained that player: the more times you train the same player within the same matchday, the lower their progession will be.
- The rating of the player: The higer their rating, the lower their progression will be.
- Weekend events: weekend events can also factor in with the progression. Currently we have the Golden Oldies event, which sees a higher progression for older players. Younger players will have their normal progression or perhaps a very small increase, depending on age.
So it's hard to say how much impact improving your training ground really has. That is something that you will have to figure out for yourself.

Thank you very much for the quick and detailed response!
I already figured that all these factors would be considered, and it makes sense that multiple factors influence the result.
However, it is not entirely clear to me how, when these factors haven't changed between level 2 and level 3 (i.e., the same player, the age hasn't changed, and no additional training was completed between the upgrade from level 2 to level 3), such a low training progress is still achieved with level 3.
In other words, if the factors haven't changed, a pure success increase of 25% should actually be achieved, right?
For example: I haven't trained my player Vini Jr. for 3 days. Yesterday at level 2, a training session would have achieved 22% progress. Today at level 3, it is only 25%.

A 25% increase from 22 is 27.5, so 25% isn't that far of the mark. The above is probably just the basic system. It wouldn't surprise me if the system is far more elaborate than that. Only the developers at Gamebasics know the ins and outs of all the systems behind OSM.
