Recover my deleted account

I had an account that I’ve been using since 2017, but I took a break from OSM for a while. Now, I’d like to come back, but I believe my account may have been deleted. Is there any way to recover it?

Hi there,
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation OSM will have to permanentaly remove accounts from the database that have been inactive for a period of three years straight. So if the last time you logged in to your account has been over three years ago, then that account is gone forever and can't be restored.
If you are unsure when it was the last time you logged into your old account, then it's best to contact our customer support. They can verify if account still excists or not. You can find them through the below link.

Then click on 'submit a request' and choose the option 'OSM' from the dropdown menu to fill in the contact form.
