Hi there,
When you click the 'store' option it will store the items in your inventory (the blue/yellow OSM bag). However, this does not apply to Bosscoins as you can't store them. They will be added to your account directly. Unfortunately, when you select 'store' for Bosscoin rewards then they won't get added to your account but are gone. I have already reported this issue.
Make sure to use the 'claim' option for Bosscoin rewards instead of 'store'. Then you will receive the Bosscoins.

I also once accidentally clicked store. I never found those couns. I didn’t report the issue though.
However, when you get boss coins, shouldn’t there just be a claim option?By day: professional osm player (former member & admin of gns crew, now member of ufn), and professional 3rd half player

However, when you get boss coins, shouldn’t there just be a claim option?Yeah, I don't really understand why there is store option for Bosscoin rewards as you can't store them. Right now, you will have to remember to use the claim option for Bosscoins to get them.

Same, I also think that they should just directly give the boss coins to us rather than choosing store or claim
I don't think they will do that. Those buttons give users the confirmation that they received the reward. If it will be automaticaly added, then we will probably see a big uptick in the number of forum posts or tickets created where users are complaining that they didn't received the Bosscoins. The rewards for Bosscoins are really small, so it will be very easy to miss that your Bosscoin stockpile has been increased due to the reward.
