Referees and their Effects

@joost-sœter_nl You won !!
Ah, I don't know your name. Well done! My congrats to you!
I hope this topic made you see things from a different point of view. How do you feel about this away victory? Wanna share any thoughts? -
@supernova-8 It really depends on for example your teamvalue and the tactic of your opponent. He played with normal strategy, but my team got a teamvalue of 1,3B.
Because my team is a lot better I can take the risk of playing carefull. In the more competitive leagues carefull isn't an option to play.
-
@joost-sœter_nl I respect your opinion and experience. If you feel this way you must have your reasons.
But I have taken place in the near past to much more competitive leagues and my strategy remained the same. No matter which team or line up has the upper hand, if the Ref is a red one I choose to go with Careful tackling. I leave all the red & yellow cards for my opposition. -
@supernova-8 And by more competitive you mean like Crew Cup or WCC?
-
@joost-sœter_nl I mean any small or bigger league that involved actual human managers for each club , who were experienced, great squad builders and creative tacticians.And yes I had been a Crew member in my past and had the pleasure of participating in both Crew Leagues and few Crew Battles ( dammit, sometimes I really miss the battles's thrilling adventures.
).

Does anybody else care to share personal experiences or thoughts about this matter?

@SUPERNOVA-8
I see you play quite careful when the referee is orange and red, there is a popular belief of playing aggressive and hard with a low pressure when is orange or red, what happens is that it is said that careful play does not bring good results when your opponent plays with a greater mentality.What do you think about that? Have you studied this comparison?

Every manager has the right to support his or her ideas right? I am confident about my choices concerning the Referees .
About the Pressure...If you use too high , like close to 100% all the time then your players lose fitness faster and then you have possibly more injuries. If you use too low Pressure then you might see your players missing a lot of scoring opportunities.
Maybe I am wrong but that's how I see things... -

From what I've experienced in the game, pressure seems to affect fitness more than the player discipline. I used to play with a very high pressure when I started playing OSM. And there have been scenarios where my player got injured and his sub got injured too minutes after getting on So I just stick my pressure to 70 these days, unless I play defensive.

Does it mean that you do not relate the pressure to the referee's attitude? Why do they all relate it? How does this relationship influence?

Maybe I am wrong but that's how I see things...Will you have a high percentage of wins when playing carefully? How are your statistics when playing like that? really that is my fear of playing careful, that the opponent plays me aggressive and dominates the game for this. Imagine in a cup final!!

@datalcar From this same topic mate... It is frustrating the fact that our forum is full of valuable data and infos and tips but most of our forumers are not bothered to read a little day by day to find so many answers ...

@supernova-8
Thanks, I really should make a test league using your recommendations exactly, it would not be bad. -

Thanks, I really should make a test league using your recommendations exactly, it would not be bad.You are welcome mate. And please remember that this is a game , fear has no place in here. Be brave , be bold , always try new things and experiment . That's the fun about OSM and only through our defeats and any mistakes we get to improve our results and effectiveness.

Maybe our new managers are interested on reading this topic...

@youtube_nl SAID IN Normal just isn't normal.:
Hello
Playing with the tactic "Normal" just is NOT normal.
The amount of red cards received while playing normal is much more while playing aggressive.
This bug should be fixed. I have checked this for multiple seasons and very many games I get a red card while playing on normal, while on the other hand I usually receive less cards playing on aggressive.This should be fixed or either checked out, as this is not correct.

@YouTube_NL Good day Thomas !
Long time no see my friend, glad to have you around once again.
I had to move your post on this topic and I was hoping you could first have a look on the discussions that took place on the previous pages and posts here. After that if you wish to ask something about Refs , tackling etc we can talk again. Have a wonderful Sunday ! Big hug from sunny Greece ! -
Hello everybody!
I thought of bringing up once again this very useful topic especially for our new comers on the OSM game or forums. Please have a look at the first pages to get a good idea about every type of Ref there is and their affects on our game.
CC : @GTCW1709 , @nikiub6080
After that if you want , feel free to discuss or ask your any questions about it.
Thanks guys! -
When should i play agressive in the game?!?
In the other day i played "normal" because the ref was in red, took a red card at the 4th minute.
Today the ref was in blue, so i played agressive, red card at the 3rd minute xD
Next time i played carefully with a ref in blue, maybe i can go to halftime with 11 players, who now´s... xD -
@Bino-de-Viseu I think it depends on luck to be honest I always use aggressive tackling no matter what an probably get a red card once or twice in say 20 games. I don't really look into who my ref is!
-
How can I play Normal and my opponent's play Aggressive with Strict referee and my player gets sent off and I lose the game. This is terrible, terrible simulation. OSM has to sort out the referees problem
