Lock the spy/data analyser

Hi,
I discovered this game about 7 years ago and I really enjoyed it at first. After a few years I gave up on it.
Now last year I came back, to try the new OSM.
Sadly I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have... The reason ?
The spy. Every time I joined a league people use the spy, at first I didn't use it, I analysed my opponent's previous matches to determine which tactics he would use, but as most people use the spy you just get beaten by a guy that was online 5 minutes before the game and didn't even think about his line-up or tactics because he already knew everything about yours...
The fact is that I personnaly find no enjoyment what so ever, if the match is decided by who looked at the other ones tactics the latest before the game...
I don't even get why this feature exists in a game that tries to be as realistic as possible.
Analysing the opponent that's REAL manager work, not clicking on a button and asking in the tactics forum what to do against this tactic....
Just want to say this is my personal opinion and I don't want to condamne people who use it or who enjoy this feature, everybody must do what he enjoys the most.
Anyway I want to know if there is a way to lock the spy if I create my own league ?
I tried it but I couldn't find the button to lock it.

I am with you on the last point : on private league ; it is good if we can Iock the spy from settings
But the features must be on the game . We can't delete the spy
About the work of looking and studying your opponent; that 's good and spy is just to help you not to give you how to beat opponent

Yes off course, the goal of my message is not to abolish the spy feature.
I just think some people (including me) are willing to play this game with an extra challenge which could be interesting. And removing the spy should be a basic feature, otherwise I don't see the use of being able to lock training camps for example in private leagues

Sorry that I have to disagree with you but I will explain to you why... Give it some time first and you will also discover that Spy or not we are not always able to counter the opponent's settings and win.

Because just like you said already , it is a game. Of course it has features that make it look as realistic as possible but it must also provide some fun features for its users. And I do love the Spy aka Data Analyst so much! He's wicked alright but so fun to work with him.

Ok , maybe there is no option ( at least not yet ) to disable completely this feature but we also have another feature called : Secret Training ( ST )!
Have you tried this feature or not yet? If you haven't noticed this feature then maybe it's the answer to your wish. We get to use a ST only 6 times during each league but you could give it a try by choosing a small league to play , one of 8 or 10 clubs for example.
Whenever you activate a ST , your opponent's Spy intel are blocked for good! Wicked , I told you...

Not yet my friend... But who knows what the future brings...
I tried it but I couldn't find the button to lock it.

I already know about secret training, as I've said I've been around for about 7 years (Since 2011 with some breaks), I used this feature but it's not satisfying me, paying boss coins for a feature that counters another feature that doesn't need boss coins, it's not logic for me...
I agree that a game can't be 100% realistic, but it's a manager game so reading your opponents intentions should be part of it, not using a button to discover it.
As I pointed out earlier, I don't want to abolish the spy, I've known this feature since I started this game (but it was less used at that point because you needed to buy premium days or something).
I just don't understand why you can lock secret training camps, training camps, transfers, etc but not the spy (the thing I would make able to block first of all).
And yes the spy probably won't counter every game, but tell me if it's fun that 95% of the games you play are being countered just because of this ? I mean I have other things to do then connect 5 minutes before a game and change my tactics, I have a family, a job...
I want to enjoy this game because it's really awesome but I can't because I'm not online after 20 pm (for example).
So I would like to make the suggestion to make it possible to remove the spy when creating a private league.

If we can remove transfers, secret trainings and training camps why not the spy ?

I made the suggestion, I hope it'll get implemented, I was thinking of hosting some kind of manager league with a division system without the spy, to really see the best managers but seems like I can't atm

That's part of the game, everyone use it to decide strategy that's how the game works. If you don't want them to spy on you on certain matches you can set a secret trainings isn't it? -

I DON'T want the spy to be removed, I want to have the option to remove it if I create a private league.
I can not be online all day so I want to play chill and do my line-up when I have time. I don't want matches to be decided by clicking on a button and watching the opponent's tactics the latest.
I'm sorry but using the spy, that's not "strategy", that's just being online 5 minutes before a game...
Secret training camps ? Let's think, you can only do 6 a season and it costs you Boss coins whilst the spy is "free"and you can do it every match, not logic to me...

To be clear, for you and others who didn't understand, I suggested to make the spy like training camps in private leagues: You can choose to lock them or not (only in private leagues).

The most people out here aren't online 24/7, so let me ask you a question.
Do you really believe that the last one to set a tactic to counter opponent will win for sure? -
@Acantha I do not believe it, I lived it.
I'm not saying it's 100% true, but it's definitely not going to win you trophies. I don't even see what's amusing about knowing everything about your opponent.
Don't you wanna feel like a real manager ? Analyze the opponent by the games he played before, deduct what he'll do and try to make the best out of it ?
I mean you really enjoy clicking a button and discovering all of this ? Don't you want to be able to compete in a way where everyone is equal even if it is only in private leagues ?
Why even make it possible to lock the secret training, training camps, fast timer options then ?
I want the spy to stay in the game, I've always known it that way but I want some real challenge, I want my own leagues to be equal leagues.

@The-Flamish There's no team that can practice all season behind closed doors, so it wouldn't make any sense to have that option on league settings.
Data analist also doesn't reveal the complete tactic, the really important settings are secret.

@Acantha There is also no team that can spy on other teams every matchday without getting caught or receiving fake info, so it doesn't make any sense either.
"The really important things are secret" ? You must be kidding right ?
The spy gives you the line-up, your attack tactic, your defense tactic, your intensity, etc...
The only thing it doesn't tell is your sliders and your specialists, yeah sure that's definitely the important things...

You mean one osm matchday, that normally is one week, that sounds more then normal in my book.Also info from data analist is from the moment you'll check, every user including yourself can change it.

@Acantha Oh so it's normal for you that football clubs spy on each other ? So stealing things is normal to you ? I'm sorry but I don't think it's normal.
And yes we are in a game, but if I want to escape from this sad reality we live in and play some soccer manager equally with others who also want this, why be against it ?
As said above most of the people using the spy look at it 5 minutes before the game, so if I make my line-up at 5 pm, because you know, afterwards, I like spending time with my wife and family.
The guy sees my tactics, changes his and I can't change them because I don't want to play the game this way.
I don't even get why you are so against my suggestion. Because even if it gets implemented it's not going to change your little world nor your way of playing...
If you get excited by clicking on a button then please, continue doing so, I have no problem with it. But there are people who are willing think a bit more in this game so why go against them ?
My suggestion is for private leagues only, not for the game in general, so I really don't understand your responses. You're the only one who's against, the other people who talked to me were in favour.

That's a bit to easy isn't it?If you don't want to be spied on then you can always lock the league and play alone then problem is solved.
You should use the functions this game has to offer and not complain if others do use those functions.
I did understand you want it for private leagues only, but since teams are never play a whole season behind closed doors as I've mentiont before, you can't expect that something like that will be added.
