I can think of 2 different reasons for why your G7 opponent got more MPs than you.

He managed to play in more Cup rounds than you did, so naturally he didn't get any match points but he did get the extra Manager points on his side.

He managed to beat, more often than you did , opponents of higher Goal teams , I mean of higher objectives.

Look at your Calendar and League's Matches once again please and tell us if that's the case ...

@supernova-8 yes it’s true, @Hafti-Abi also knows I need the account I was using for something that’s supposed to start in less than a week😂 I only wanted to know what this competition was about, I’ve seen enough with BCs, timers and TCs turned on anyway haha. Good luck Angus

Yes you are right mate.
Transfers are random and one can not say when a player will be sold, sometimes they sell faster and sometimes they don't.

I'm glad with your answer that the amount of goals is the second priority after winning points.
The battle has ended. I couldn't evaluate the amount of goals.

I agree in principal with @SUPERNOVA-8 but wanna make a couple of points.

Don't just judge a striker on goals, that performance rating is important

Consider putting your player on the bench, training them and bringing them back

Likewise it may be your formation or style doesn't suit the player or you are playing them not in their natural position

I will give a good example of this - months ago I had Martial as a center forward (CF) and his average rating was 6.5. So I put him on the transfer list. As I could not sell him after 3 days I returned him to the squad and trained him. Once I brought in Gomez as a CF I tried Martial on the right wing. He improved to the point of being my best striker for games/goals ratio though Gomez was my top scorer.

@supernova-8 Fair enough, I didn't think about a possible connotation about the word enemy lol.

I meant the rank of my opponent, e.g. if my opponent is ranked 150th and another is ranked 150.000th, will it make any difference?

First things you need to do when you enter a league :

Begin with choosing the first 4 players that you want to get rid off and place them for sale on the TransferList at their maximum price ( x 2,5 ) Always try to have the max. 4 players for sale on the TL. The fact that you may not be the manager of the top club in any league means nothing. It's up to you and your strong squad building via your non-stop transfers and trainings to create the best team in the league Choose your 4 Sponsors. The ones that grant your Club with the biggest funds. Train your players. Your top rated ones come first , focus on younger ones too and you can do that 3 times per day. Every 8 hours you are able to set 4 new players on Training session Stadium Expansion . Each manager decides from where to start. Personally I begin with the Pitch just like @Hafti-Abi said , cause it's important to have some extra advantage during Home matches. Just like @Pebbregas mentioned, always use your Spy before each new match to help you decide what settings and tactics you will need to use, even if your opponent is the Computer and not a human manager.
